The diesel equipment technician works in an exciting and rapidly changing industry. Students in this program receive the diagnostic and service training needed to be successful in their chosen field. Entering students should have good mechanical aptitude, good communication skills and the ability to comprehend service literature. The program prepares individuals to 诊断 and repair all components, including diesel engines, 传输, 驱动线, 差异, hydraulic and 空气制动系统, electrical systems, electronically controlled 燃料系统 and 传输. Students receive instruction in the use of a wide variety of tools and diagnostic testing equipment. Students are prepared for careers requiring them to inspect, 诊断, repair and maintain trucks, 预告片, 农业设备, diesel and construction equipment, stationary diesel engines in electrical generators and related equipment. This program is an Association of Diesel Specialists TechSmart program participant.
